Residencies
The Ulrike Quade Company is dedicated to exploring the boundaries between theater and technology, which has led to the creation of Center Stage Robotics. This platform explores the integration of industrial robots and robotics in theatrical and performative settings. In doing so, we bridge the world of science, the tech industry and the theater sector. A crucial part of this initiative are residencies.
What are residencies?
Residencies offer artists the opportunity to stay with us for a period of time and work on their own research and creative projects. During these residency periods, they are given access to our facilities and support to develop and refine their ideas. The goal is to create an environment where experimentation and innovation are central, and where artists have the freedom to explore and realize new concepts.
“Yesterday’s puppets are tomorrow’s robots.”
Why residencies at Ulrike Quade Company?
At Ulrike Quade Company, we believe that the cross-pollination between performing arts and technology can lead to groundbreaking developments. By offering residencies, we want to give makers, creative technologists and designers the opportunity to experiment with industrial robots and robotics on stage. We want to explore how knowledge from the performing arts can inspire the world of robotics and contribute to a new representation of and about a future with robotics.
